This Colombian Sugarcane Decaf comes from the Valle del Cauca region, an important ecological corridor known for sustainable agriculture, protected water sources, and environmentally focused farming practices. Located between Tatama National Park and the Serrania de los Paraguas, this area is recognized as part of Colombia’s UNESCO Coffee Cultural Landscape.

Grown at elevations between 1,700–2,100 meters, the surrounding mountains help create a stable microclimate ideal for coffee production. Producers in the region focus on agroecology farming methods and environmentally responsible cultivation.

Sugarcane Decaf Process

This coffee is decaffeinated using naturally derived ethyl acetate from Colombian sugarcane. The process removes up to 97% of caffeine while helping preserve the coffee’s original flavor characteristics and sweetness.

Appearance Notes

Decaf coffees commonly appear less uniform than non-decaf coffees. The sugarcane decaffeination process can cause additional color variation, surface texture changes, and a rougher overall appearance in the green coffee. This is normal and does not negatively affect cup quality.

IF THERE IS A NEED TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM

  • We will need the serial number, found on the underside of the base unit, starting with 540 or 800.  
  • Shipping or mailing address

  • Pictures of the damage if filing a warranty claim for a roast chamber or top assembly.

IS YOUR MACHINE NOT HOT ENOUGH?

  • Verify that you are getting 120-122 Volts to the roaster without any extension cords.  
  • The ambient air temp is not below 55*F.  Cool temps will result in low heat output.
  • Make sure your roast profile includes lowering the fan speed as the beans roast to increase the chamber temperature.  
  • Running too few beans can result in heat not building up in the roast chamber.  Minimum of  3 Scoops, 3 OZ, or  85 Grams for both SR540 and SR800.
