Improved Airflow and Roast Efficiency

The SR540 and SR800 Extension Tube are the same model and fit both roasters. This 10.25" glass extension tube improves bean movement and airflow when used with the original roasting chamber and chaff basket.

By increasing chamber height and optimizing air velocity, the extension tube allows the roaster to operate at lower fan and heat settings as beans lose weight during roasting. Many users finish around Fan 2 / Heat 1, depending on the environment and voltage conditions.

This upgrade is especially useful for customers roasting in cooler environments or with slightly lower supply voltage.

  • The SR800 is designed to roast up to 8 oz (226 g) of wet-processed green coffee.

  • The SR540 is designed to roast up to 4 oz (120 g) of wet-processed green coffee.

"SR500 user graduated to SR800 over a year ago. Using stock chamber, never got temp above 385° and results were "meh". Roasted 4 different varieties of beans with the extension. "I love being able to roast a larger volume of green! I am still working on getting the heat and fan settings dialed in, as the narrower roasting chamber seems to concentrate the heat a bit higher up the tube. IF THERE IS A NEED TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM

  • We will need the serial number, found on the underside of the base unit, starting with 540 or 800.  
  • Shipping or mailing address
  • Contact Phone Number
  • Pictures of the damage if filing a warranty claim for a roast chamber or top assembly.

IS YOUR MACHINE NOT HOT ENOUGH?

  • Verify that you are getting 120-122 Volts to the roaster without any extension cords.  
  • The ambient air temp is not below 55*F.  Cool temps will result in low heat output.
  • Make sure your roast profile includes lowering the fan speed as the beans roast to increase the chamber temperature.  
  • Running too few beans can result in heat not building up in the roast chamber.  Minimum of  3 Scoops, 3 OZ, or  85 Grams for both SR540 and SR800.
