Great Products at a Good Price
"I purchased a couple roasters and coffee for a Coffee Roasting workshop we are doing in the next week. Everything arrived in good shape well packed and instructions for the refurbished unit arrived as an email even before the package arrived."

"So excited to upgrade my home roasting! Shipped quickly and packaged with great care. Looking forward to being able to roast more frequently with this setup ☕️ UPDATE: Did my first roast and it’s by far the easiest batch of beans I’ve ever roasted! Without a doubt, I will HIGHLY recommend this roaster to anyone wanting to roast coffee at home 💯"

Great bundle
"I am very happy with this bundle so far. The SR800 seems to be a perfect machine to begin my home roasting journey. It's reasonably priced and so far the roasts I have done have been surprisingly good. I appreciate the added bean cooler as well. It cools the beans a good bit faster than the SR800 cooling cycle. I recommend this bundle!"

Loving this hobby
"Great company, great roaster and an amazing package deal! I haven’t roasted other beans yet, but even the two pounds of bonus beans are awesome! A delicious Colombian and Ethiopian Guji! Highly recommend these bundle packages!"

Great bundle and great tasty hobby
"I usually purchase coffee from premium roasters online which is pricey. I started researching roasting my own coffee and found the Starter Bundle SR800. I highly recommend this combo as you get the extended roasting tube which, based on expert reviews, helps the roaster to be more efficient (my guess it will also help extend the life of the roaster). The bundle arrived quickly and every item worked perfectly. I love it so much I will probably purchase this bundle as a Christmas present for my daughter. Being an accountant, I calculated that I will break even on this investment within 6 months versus continuing to purchase from roasters. It is a new fun hobby and their is lots of videos online to help you with your adventure."

Great roaster at a great price
"I've been roasting beans off and on for 20 years using an old Orville Redenbacher modified popcorn air popper. Some batches were really good, some were unimpressive, but I could only ever roast 80-90 g of green beans. The FR 800 is a much more powerful roaster, with independent controls for fan speed and heat. It was a well researched purchase and I did get the extension tube, which has allowed me to roast up to 240 g of beans at outdoor temperatures as low as 42°F. In addition to the more powerful fan and individual controls, the built-in thermometer is useful for monitoring conditions inside the roast chamber, and the clear glass extension tube allows perfect visualization of roast and roast levels. I have been getting consistently excellent results from all the beans that I've roasted so far. (A surprise treat was how excellent the Colombian beans that shipped with this package were!) I find the sweet spot for me so far is 200 g of beans. That may change when temperatures moderate, but it's been really cold in StL this winter and I've only had a few days that were warm enough to roast. I don't have a good hood inside and it smelled strongly of coffee in the garage for several days when I tried roasting in there with the windows open, so it's outdoors for me from now on. There are a number of websites with good roast advice that provide refinements to the provided instructions, which get you started off nicely. I'm about 12 pounds in, and have found the roaster easy to learn and control. I am using a separate cooler, as I really like to be able to stop my roast quickly, and due to the thermal mass of the machine, even though the cooling cycle shuts off the heat, there is a certain amount of retained heat to account for. As I become more comfortable with the roaster and with specific beans, I may use the cooling cycle to cool the beans, but at this point I don't trust myself to coast to the end the roast on the cool cycle. The couple of times I've tried to let the cooling cycle cool them, the beans continued to slowly roast. I've seen some advice to use that to slow the roast. I took no points off for this; you can't expect it to overcome the laws of physics, and I expect that with more experience I'll find the cooling cycle useful. It does what it says. So far, I've roasted some African and central American beans from City- to City+ and some South American, African, and Indonesian coffees at varying levels up to FC+ with fine control of roast level. I'm drinking the best coffee of my life these days, in large part because of this roaster!"
