Over the moon...

"I started with a SR300 many years ago, then graduated to a SR500, which also gave me many years of good service. However, the SR 800 with glass extension tube is so much more capable in so many ways, both in quantity of the beans to be roasted and in control of the process, I know it will be the last roaster I'll ever need or want. My first two roasts, a 4+ oz. Jamaica Blue Mountain Peaberry and then an 8 oz. Tanzania Songwe Hezya AB+ (which was included with the roaster) each turned out more uniform in the roast than I had been able to achieve, and was easier to control the profile for each. I especially appreciate the fuller agitation of the beans using the glass extension tube. There is no better product on the market at this price for the capability it provides. Ordering was easy, shipment was prompt (same day), and customer service was all one could hope for. Six Stars!"

Great company with great customer service

"I had an issue with a roasting chamber and extension that I had bought from a different website , I called home roasting supplies and within 5 minutes was told I would be sent a replacement almost no questions asked. This company is so amazing I had to support there business so I purchased another sr800 with extension. Keep in mind I paid nearly $120 less than all of the other sites and got 2 lbs of green coffee . If I would’ve known about homeroastingsupplies from the get go it would of been my go to ! Awesome Roaster, But Should Include Expansion Tube

"This is an awesome coffee roaster, but I’ve found that after testing my outlet voltage and seeing it is good, I still was finding it difficult to get high enough temps with a fan speed that would agitate the beans properly. I bought the expansion tube and now have much better control over the temp and agitation. Recommend selling the unit with the expansion tube included at no extra cost, or redesigning the glass jar so that it performs as if the extension tube was installed."

IF THERE IS A NEED TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM

  • We will need the serial number, found on the underside of the base unit, starting with 540 or 800.  
  • Shipping or mailing address
  • Contact Phone Number
  • Pictures of the damage if filing a warranty claim for a roast chamber or top assembly.

IS YOUR MACHINE NOT HOT ENOUGH?

  • Verify that you are getting 120-122 Volts to the roaster without any extension cords.  
  • The ambient air temp is not below 55*F.  Cool temps will result in low heat output.
  • Make sure your roast profile includes lowering the fan speed as the beans roast to increase the chamber temperature.  
  • Running too few beans can result in heat not building up in the roast chamber.  Minimum of  3 Scoops, 3 OZ, or  85 Grams for both SR540 and SR800.
